Welcome to my website
Hello, my name is CY Korn (gender pronouns they/them), and under the umbrella name of Embodied Relational Edge I run CY Korn Therapy.
I am a Relational Body and Trauma Therapist and Supervisor. I offer therapy to youth and adult clients aged 15+, family communication sessions, relationship therapy, group therapy and wellbeing group work. I am based in north London and provide sessions online nationally, in Europe and beyond, online via Zoom. I am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.
My Body Therapy training and embodied practice experience are essential to how I work with clients. I am an Associated Member of the European Association for Body Psychotherapy.
How I can help
My therapy specialisms include Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity; Relational Body Therapy; Trauma Therapy; Youth and Adult Clients age 15+, Group Therapy and Groupwork.
Please visit my therapy specialism pages for more information:-
I work with a wide range of presenting needs and can help if you are dealing with:
Anxiety, Cancer, Childhood Abuse, Chronic Health, Confidence, Co-Morbid Health Needs, Depression, Disability, Faith Abuse, Grief, Health Based Issues, HIV and Hepatitis, Identity Fragility, Intergenerational Trauma, Intersectionality, Intimacy, Islamophobia, Loss, Kink, Neurodiversity, Neurological Conditions, Personal Development, Relationships, Self-Care, Sex, Sexual Health, Shame, Social Anxiety, Stress, Transcultural, Trauma, Well-Being and Youth Counselling Aged 15-21
The shape of the therapy I offer
I offer all new clients an initial 6-session contract, from there we review, see whether the therapeutic relationship is working for you and check that I am meeting your ongoing needs. Depending on your access needs I sometimes offer longer sessions working outside the traditional hour therapy model and in certain cases I then move to a fortnightly meeting model, but this really depends on what you are bringing and if we both feel this will work with your relationship history.
Working Creatively
In my therapy work I work using creativity in our work together, as a story develops as to what is troubling my youth and adult clients aged 15+. I use these tools so the client can strengthen their communication techniques, confidence and resilience in dealing with their external reality. I have worked with many neurodiverse clients over my years of practice, sometimes neurodiverse clients find it difficult to identify emotions or feelings, working creatively offers them tools to access their emotions.
I also offer Clinical Supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists.
As of August 2022: I do not deal with criminal, custodial or judicial matters; there are therapists that specialise in these areas.
When working with trauma I only work with past experiences of trauma as this provides safety to the client and myself and prevents vicarious trauma.

Clinical supervision
I offer clinical supervision and professional development groups to professionals in-person in north and central London, and nationally or internationally via Zoom.
